The Microlog DMM-1 Battery Monitoring System is designed to measure the status of batteries in Boats or RV's and efficiently manage the DC energy flow in the charging and distribution systems.

Our system include a precision digital instrument, more accurate than the standard battery monitoring equipment found in most boats and recreational vehicles, which only give approximate values. Precision digital monitoring delivers the necessary data to manage electrical resources more efficiently. In challenging circumstances, such as at sea, this information may be crucial in making important decisions.

Precision Voltage Monitoring:
The Microlog DMM-1 Battery Monitoring System is designed to monitor the level of charge for 2 batteries or battery banks in measuring the Total Battery Cells Voltages with great precision. The voltage monitoring will tell you the state and condition of your batteries, charging equipment and also when it's time to charge and stop charging.

Separate Charge and discharge current monitoring:
The Microlog DMM-1 System will also monitor the intensity (Amperes) of incoming current from charging equipment such as alternators, wind generators or solar panels and, at the same time, measure the separate discharging or outgoing current, consumed by electrical appliances or equipment powered by the battery system, not the NET value like competing products (All other systems, on the market, will tell the NET value of charging minus discharging current). The DMM-1 instrument measures the slight potential difference between shunts terminals (Shunts are optional) and translate this measurement in Amperes. Charging current will be represented with a "+" sign and discharging current with a "–" sign.

Low and high voltage level alarms:
Your batteries are an expensive investment and you want to keep them in optimum state of performance at all times. Their effective life is directly related to the level of care and maintenance they will receive. They can sustain permanent damage if drained below 11.5 volts too often or for long periods or if they are overcharged, so we included an integrated alarm system, which will trigger a warning signal if the voltages fall below 11.8 volts or surpass 15.1 volts on 2 monitored banks.

Backlit Display:
Our DMM-1 instrument has Red or Green backlit display for night monitoring.

The Microlog DMM-1 system is carefully made with the finest components and materials in order to optimize its reliability and performance, such as: Use of Surface-Mount Technology (SMT), Anti-Corrosion Treatment, Sealed Adjustments Trimmers, Lexan® Facing and Stainless Steel Hardware for harsh marine environment. The system also use a very low current draw.

DMM-1-BR-A: This model has an External Alarm Relay Option to cut your fridge or other equipment if batteries gets too low, or sound an external alarm to the marina in case of problem...
The alarm Output option include an external 12 volts relay with dry contacts N.O. or N.C. up to 30 Amps.

DMM-1 Shunt and Wiring kits:

A Dual Shunt is needed in order to measure amps with DMM-1 battery monitor (you may purchase just the DMM-1 instrument if you ONLY need Voltage measurement and Alarms).
Shunts are an accurate, very low resistance resistor which is placed "in line" with the wire carrying the current to be measured. It is usually placed in the negative wire from the battery bank, such that all the current going into the battery (charging) and out (discharging) must pass through them. (It also could be placed in series with the negative wire coming from a solar array--or other charging source--in which case it would measure only the solar array or wind current. The shunt needs to be placed near the batteries; since these wires carry very high currents the wires from the batteries must be kept short to minimize electrical losses.

SWK-205 Shunt and Wiring kit for DMM-1:

The SWK-205 Shunts and Wiring kit is required if you need to measure current up to 135 Amp. Continuously.
Users with alternators over 135A and 1800-2000W inverters should use SWK-225.

Kit includes:
-Dual 200 Amp. (135 Amp. continuous) Marine Grade Shunts
-25 feet PVC jacketed, tinned, flexible marine grade wire for exact calibration of your DMM-1 instrument
-Connectors to shunts and battery poles

Spares In-Line Ring Connector-Fuses:
Ring-Connector-Fuse are required to protect battery wiring to the DMM monitor for your own safety. We include them with your DMM but it is good to have one spare.
